My daddy hits my mommy
She is very sad
I am so scared
Why won't my daddy to stop

My mommy is crying
It's dark here, inside and out
I want to hide or run away

I need to help my mommy
She is holding her head
I see blood

He smells funny
He takes another drink
I sneak over to my mommy

I hug my mommy tightly

I have to go to school
What if he hurts her while I'm gone
What if she cries and needs my hug

They say that  he is sick
Is there medicine for him
Can he get well soon

My daddy doesn't touch me
He just yells at me a lot
He broke my new watch

I love my mommy and daddy
My mommy wants to leave
